Technical trainings

Technical trainings in the fields of groundwater development, irrigation, rural drinking water and sanitation is a key part of the activities of PRACTICA. We have a group of experts with expertise in low-income countries that has been build up since the 1970s. They deliver trainings in African and Asian countries, both in English and in French, to NGOs, governments and local enterprises. We have developed professional supporting materials and can adapt trainings to local capacity.

Combined manual drilling and geophysics siting training.

In the field of groundwater development, we provide trainings on drill siting and geophysics, geohydrological aspects of drilling, manual drilling, data management, and pumping tests. In irrigation, we provide trainings in planning and selecting smallholder irrigation, and selection and installation of solar pumps. In rural drinking water, we provide training on planning and construction of modular solar water systems, financial management of water systems, and community engagement. Finally, in sanitation we provide training in the planning and management of sustainable fecal sludge management chains.

Geohydrology and drilling supervision training.

PRACTICA regularly publishes manuals on a topics such as manual drilling and siting. Together with UNICEF, we created a full series of manual drilling manuals covering both the technical and business aspects of a drilling enterprise.
