Consultancy and advice

Our technical expertise in both English and French-speaking countries makes us a valued advisory partner in a multitude of programs on affordable water and sanitation solutions. In addition to the technical trainings we provide, we conduct technical feasibility and evaluation studies for development programs and projects.

For example, together with UNICEF we did a study on the feasibility for manual drilling in twelve African countries — Togo, Senegal, Mali, Benin, Niger, Mauritanie, Madagascar, CAR, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Chad. These studies have given a major impact in the dissemination and uptake of manual drilling in Africa.

A few of the maps on the feasibility of manual drilling (Sierra Leone, Togo and Niger).

Other advisory work has focused on investigating the market potential of solar irrigation, the potential for shallow well development and groundwater use, and designing a borehole site-selection proces.
