Manual drilling in Ivory Coast

Together with UNICEF and the local water authority ONEP, PRACTICA is working on the introduction of low-cost manual drilling techniques in Ivory Coast. Main activies are in the regions of Agnéby-Tiassa, Sud-Comoé and Bounkani.

En collaboration avec l’UNICEF et l’ONEP, PRACTICA travaille à l’introduction de techniques de forage manuel à faible coût en Côte d’Ivoire. Les activités principales se situent dans les régions d’Agnéby-Tiassa, Sud-Comoé et Bounkani.

Goals

To contribute to the increase of sustainable access to drinking water in rural areas of Ivory Coast, with the introduction of low-cost drilling techniques
To strengthen the capacities of national and international partners who are involved in the implementation of low-cost drilling
To strengthen the capacities of drilling enterprises in applied hydrogeology and improvement of quality of works
To evaluate drilling techniques and their feasibility in the different geographical zones

Objectifs

Contribuer à l’augmentation de l’accès durable à l’eau potable dans les zones rurales de Côte d’Ivoire, avec l’introduction de techniques de forage à faible coût
Renforcer les capacités des partenaires nationaux et internationaux impliqués dans la mise en œuvre du forage à faible coût
Renforcer les capacités des entreprises de forage en hydrogéologie appliquée et amélioration de la qualité des travaux
Evaluer les techniques de forage et leur faisabilité dans les différentes zones géographiques
