The aim of the activity was to test the feasibility of intermediate-depth solar pumping solutions for irrigation in the Niayes region in Senegal that can meet the needs and expectations and address the constraints faced by smallholders in cultivating agricultural land in areas where the water table is too deep for motor pumps.
