Madriccol Liberia has received 3 different trainings:

-Technical: Understand the design and rationale of micro water grids.

-Social and financial: The social marketing and business monitoring of these systems.

-Implementation and maintenance: The construction, installation & maintenance of one water tower.

These scalable micro piped systems are design to optimize the business case behind water systems. It allows an entrepreneur to maintain and expand the water points.

The training of Madricoll has been made possible with the funding of NUFFIC – Orange knowlegde programme.

Goals

Train Madriccol to:

understand the concept of micro piped systems
being able to monitor the business
construct and maintain a water point.

Also a dissemination day has been organized to promote the concept to different key actors in Liberia.

A working solar based modular water tower has been constructed that is currently selling water to the local population by means of pre-paid technology.
